UAE energy minister hails ‘courageous decision’ to extend production cuts
UAE energy minister Suhail Al Mazrouei has hailed the “courageous decision” of OPEC+ alliance members to extend production cuts to the end of July.
During a videoconference meeting, OPEC+ alliance agreed to the cuts and adopted a stricter approach to ensuring members don’t break their production pledges.
Suhail Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Industry, said,
“The UAE is proud of its supportive role to the alliance of oil producing countries who made a courageous decision and a collective effort that deserves praise from all participating producing countries.”
Al Mazrouei thanked chairmanship of Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy, and co-chair Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation for the efforts made to reach the agreement.
